Enhancing support for employees’ emotional well-being

Emotional well-being is critical to overall health and well-being. According to the American Institute of Stress, people who are highly stressed are less likely to eat healthy or to exercise. In fact, stress drives more than 75% of primary care doctor visits.1

For many people, stress manifests itself through anxiety and depression, which could hinder their productivity and engagement at work and at home. Often help is needed to deal with life’s stressors and adapt to change and adversity.

Early next year, Cigna will offer additional services and programs to address the emotional health and general well-being needs of your covered employees and their families – it’s all part of your medical plan. What’s included?

A network for behavioral health.

  • National network of clinicians – counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists.
  • 300+ substance use Centers of Excellence locations.2
  • Convenient virtual counseling sessions (14,000+ clinicians).3
  • Support programs for eating disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, bipolar and more.

Self-service online tools to help covered employees take control of everyday stresses.4
