In today’s rapidly changing business environment, organizations and their employees have multiple and evolving benefits needs. However, moving from a traditional to a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) can be a concern for employees due to the potential out-of-pocket expenses associated with these plans. Cigna has introduced a solution that includes the HSA/HRA Medical Plan bundled with supplemental group employer-paid Hospital and Accident Coverage. This bundled offering is designed specifically to provide employees with comprehensive health care coverage and additional financial protection to help ease out-of-pocket health care costs.

This integrated solution is specifically designed for employers with fewer than 500 employees and is initially launching in Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas – with future expansion to additional states planned in 2019. Pairing the employer’s choice of a HDHP with standardized hospital and accident indemnity coverage streamlines the enrollment and eligibility process for the employer. Integrating Cigna medical and Cigna supplemental health benefits provides employees with access to the Cigna Simple File® – auto compare program, at no additional cost. Through this program, we carefully review Cigna medical claims and automatically remind employees to submit their eligible hospital and accident claims. Our integrated approach leverages our insights and holistic view of health to help bring you and your employees a better experience.

Health care just got personal in The Triangle

Cigna SureFit® UNC Health Alliance is our new health care solution designed to make health care more personal and more affordable. It was built specifically for The Triangle and the people who live here.

Rooted in a community of care network
Cigna created a community of care network with physician groups and hospitals in The Triangle. These providers are committed to delivering quality, cost-effective care through collaboration. Network providers are evaluated and incentivized based on their ability to provide better outcomes at a lower cost.

Collaboration among community of care network providers not only supports quality, coordinated care for customers, it creates efficiencies, too. Our Cigna Surefit solution is designed to offer clients significant upfront cost savings. In The Triangle , clients can save a potential of 15% or more over our OAP product2.

A personal experience for customers
Cigna understands that each customer has unique care needs and preferences. To help customers choose the plan and provider that fits them best, our Cigna SureFit offering includes access to innovative decision support tools.

Customers also have access to the Cigna One Guide® solution – our highest level of personal support and guidance. Our experts help customers with everything from choosing a plan and finding an in-network doctor to understanding their plan, resolving service issues and accessing a clinical team to help them choose the right care.

An awareness campaign to organizations in The Triangle area  will include emails and social posts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) and will run March 19 – April 9.
